Telkom refuse to cancel my debit order.

Do not EVER enter into a debit order agreement with Telkom. You probably will fight a raging battle for moths on end to get it cancelled. In Oct 2016 I got a 2 yr LTE contract with Telkom. I was told that the first payment must be on debit order (fair enough), after which I could cancel it at any time. DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!! I left it on D/O because it was convenient and last year Sept 2018 my contact came to an end, after which my LTE service kept going on a month to month basis. In March this year I decided that I wanted to cancel the D/O and rather pay online or by EFT, that I could easily cancel my service without any hassles if I chose to. Guess what? Telkom OUTRIGHT REFUSED to cancel my D/O after weeks' of fighting. I then cancelled my service (in the manner that Telkom prescribes) on 15 May to end on 30 June - giving way more than the 30 days' notice required. I was told that my final payment would be in June, which they conveniently debited 10 days early! Now I've received another invoice with a random amount which they say will be debited on 25 July! I've been fighting for the past week to get it resolved, to no avail. I've had to spend so much time on the phone and been made to hold for up to 35 minutes without any info or resolution, other than that they keep saying :it's being investigated". BOTTOM LINE IS: MY SERVICE HAS BEEN CANCELLED, I DON'T OWE ANYTHING ON MY ACC, AND MY D/O SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED BUT IS STILL IN PLACE!!! SORRY TELKOM - YOUR PRODUCT WAS FINE BUT YOUR SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY **********!!
