Telkom Queenswood *****ulent Business Ethics
Telkom has a very poor management on their stores. The Telkom at Queenswood Pretoria decided to charge me more than what was agreed upon on a month to month unlimited data sim. On third month, after complaining in the second month in store, they continued to overcharge. This is a breech in terms of contract, I went to cancel this and they insisted an error was done on their end for adding R100 over budget costs. I asked that they cancel and the lady converted the contract to prepaid. However a week later there was an attempt to still debit money off my account. I went back in store complained and they got me to the billing department which then the guy completely shut the the number linked to my name. I asked for proof of cancellation and he sent a system generated proof of cancellation. This was the second proof I had got after the first one which showed my number was retained but on prepaid.
I have now got my account handed over to Nudebt which I called this morning 27/03/2025 and the consultant that dealt with my complain tells me that there was another way to cancel and not in store as they don't recognise cancellation with the two methods which solicited proof of cancellation, let alone admission of error on terms of contract.
I am going to take this up legally and report that business to the ombudsmen as it is bothering on my credit score.
Any advice on other ways to make this organisation pay for its poor service agents and errors. I have also recorded most of my interaction with them upon realising the substandard work ethic offer.
The breech on their part according to contract law makes the contract month to month voidable. And a misrepresentation on the advertising end. Let alone it being cancelled instore it is being charged and I am told that I should cancel another way. Masepa
