Telkom - Pricing through Greed

While i have not had much of a problem with Telkoms services i am frustrated with their pricing. Telkom used to be a market leader in terms of pricing and i personally feel this was due to them being the "newbies" in the cellular contract market. I have 2 contracts with Telkom - the huawei p30 lites on a 1gb free me bundle and am paying R299.00 each for both which were bought a few months apart. I have now looked at getting a third contract for my daughter and in the space of 5 months they have increased their price on the exact same package by R100.00 (now R399.00). Vodacom and MTN offer an equivalent package for R299.00 and cell c offers a better package for R339.00 so why would i choose Telkom over the others? I really am disappointed in what is perceived as being a bit of greed on the part of Telkom. I have also looked at their free me 1gb contract and their 1gb top up contract - the free me 1gb gives you 2GB data, free Telkom to Telkom calls, 50 smses a day and free messaging on whatsapp etc for a base price of R100.00 excluding a phone while the 1gb topup package gives you 50 smses a day and 1gb of data for the exact same price of R100.00 - are the Telkom pricing department asleep or are they really trying to take customers for a ride???

Reviewer Update
I have received an email from Telkom Sales to say all the prices on their Huawei Phones has gone down and the P30 lite is now once again R299.00 a month on 1GB top up..... Glad they listen to their customers but also disappointed that they upped the price in the first place (clearly unnecessarily). Also due to them only emailing me back over a week later i had to opt to buy a cheaper phone to stay within budget so i'm not happy about that
