Telkom Poor Service. Very Poor Service

<p>Telkom has been giving me really poor service and the run around. Customer service? That department should be renamed "The Excuse department."</p> <p>i Spoke to A lady on Tuesday 17/01/2017, on 10210, who escalated my request to have a land line installed at my place of residence. I first app**** for this service on the 13th of December 2016. The initial estimated instalment date was two to three weeks. No longer. Then i received a message that a technician will despatched on the 13th of January 2017. I thought, with all the holidays, the 13th was not bad.</p> <p>The technician came on the 13th of January 2017, and informed me that he would have to escalate my request for a line to the cabling department as some cabling is missing. The guys will probably be at my residence in a week to sort out the cabling.</p> <p>I called telkom on Tuesday 17/01/2017 only to be told that the call to the cabling guys would be escalated. Someone would call me.</p> <p>Its Thursday now 19/01/2017. I called Telkom, they did not call me, and was told that it could take anything from 7 to 21 Working days for the Cabling guys to be despatched to my residence. So a job that should have taken 14 to 21 days could not take 6 to 7 weeks if I’m fortunate.</p> <p>I find it very irritating that i could not even speak to a manager at the "customer care centre" . They were in Meetings. I left my number for someone to call me back, but I’m assured that no one would return my call.</p> <p>I asked for the Cabling department’s number only to be told they don’t have it. The call centre cannot call them either. What utter nonsense. "It is all done via the system."</p> <p>Why does Telkom punish their clients. Why don’t new clients get Preference. After all it new business. Does Telkom not need my business.</p> <p>I would advise anyone not to use Telkom. Unless you really need and want problems and excuses.</p> <p>So im posting this as a warning to all out there. Telkom is Poor Service..</p> <p> </p>
