Telkom poor customer service in Mall of Africa and call centre
I app**** for a contract router 17/02/2018, I waited for 3 weeks to receive a message for approval with no correspondents. I later called only to find out I need to go back to Mall of Africa Telkom to submit proof of address. For some reason Telkom does not accept electronic copies as proof (so ancient) . When I got to the shop was told the fist person who opened my account Busisiwe did not upload all required documents to open an account and also my numbers which where on their database was incorrect hence I was not getting any feedback. I later waited until the 15/03/2018 till i decide to call back again and was told feedback will be given soon and again never happened. Later I received a call to come and pick up my router during the third week of March 2018. In the Telkom store (Mall of Africa) i meet a guy by Itumeleng who gave me a bad attitude because I asked for the terms and condition so that I can read them before signing as referred to on the contract.I signed for the router and sim card on 24/03/2018 and called Telkom to activate my simcard (case number: ********** 9) and till today nothing has happened. Today (03/04/2018) I waited for 30 min just to go through to speak to a consultant called Eugenia who told me I should drive from Limpopo to Mall of Africa to do a sim swap since Busisiwe gave me the wrong simcard. Financially( petrol, tollgate and accommodation) it doesn't make sense to do a sim swap in store only, other networks have other options. The nearest telkom store is in Mokopane which is 2 hours away from my house. I do not understand why telkom will not include a mere simcard in local delivery and ADSL installation. This is ridiculous, I am currently being charged pro-rata plus April's data for something am not using. I just want Telkom to cancel my contract, application cannot take more than 3 months to be processed.
