Telkom pole on property no authorisation

We have a Telkom pole in our yard and have tried contacting Telkom on numerous occasions to discuss this as we have no contract with them nor did the previous owners. The lines are saging and in the last 5 years it has not been serviced or maintained which makes me wonder is the pole functional or is it just lying dormant in my yard.
