TELKOM PLEASE SORT THIS OUT

We subscribed to Fibre in August, having had an incredibly slow ADSL connection previously which was frequently being disconnected, especially in bad weather. Much of our data usage was going on watching Netflix, as we do not subscribe to SABC etc or DSTV. Our standard data bundle was 50gb + 50gb (on promotion indefinitely) per month. We quickly found that we were using around 120gb - 140gb per month - so resorted to top up data. The alternative was uncapped, but at a whopping price of more than double what we were paying, we thought this to be a rip-off. Unfortunately buying data add-ons frequently doesnt work properly, the system is a bit of a mess at times. Then in early September we saw a product advertised called TI Entertainment - watch all you like from Showmax, iTunes & Netflix for only R99 per month. We thought this was the perfect remedy, so we bought it at the end of September. It has never, ever worked for us. Countless hours calling Telkom, different departments each one less helpful; emailing, posting here, posting on Facebook - no help whatsoever. In the mean time, our data usage continued towards around 30 - 40 gb more than our monthly allowance. Now, I see that Telkom is offering an identical package to ours - but with uncapped data - for only R100/month more than we are paying. In other words, it will give us exactly what the combination of the mythical TI Entertainment + our standard bundle would give us, for the same price. Great - so I try to buy it - or more accurately, switch to it )on a 24 month contract). Guess what ? Telkom want to penalise me for changing contracts, even though I am sticking with them, even committing to them for a longer period than I am committed at present. I am not defecting - despite the woeful "customer service", the *********** "technical support", the lies about someone more senior calling me back/emailing me/passing the issue up to management etc. Give me a break Telkom - you have wasted hours and hours of my time, you have failed to deliver the service you promised that we paid for. And now we want to switch contracts to one that suits us better, but gives your company an assurance that we will stick with you - and you want to penalise me ?!? What sort of warped moral/ethical code do you follow ? I want a resolution this time please.
