Telkom phone contract

Telkom is refusing canceling my phone contract after delivering a faulty phone. They didn't want to reissue me another device and said I must return the phone which I did and now they are dragging their feet with canceling the contract and now I can't get another phone until this contract is canceled and that time I urgently need a new phone
