Telkom pathetic service

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding a Huawei P8 lite which i took on contract.

In hardly 18 months into the contract the handset's wifi and Bluetooth buttons stopped working. In January 2018, I took the phone to a telkom store in pinelands mutual park where i was told that i needed to take it to a huawei store in canal walk as it is a common problem with the phone. I was told that many customers have experienced this same problem with the huawei p8 lite. I questioned why do i need to take the phone to huawei when i've had no dealing with them. The gentleman told me that this is a common problem with the phone, there is nothing that telkom can do. i was not pleased with this response, and i made him aware of it.

upon taking the phone to huawei out of desperation, i was told by huawei that it will cost me approximately R3000.00 to fix the handset.

i went back to telkom to tell them that i did not purchase the phone at huawei, i signed a contract with telkom, and if telkom confirms that this is a known side effect of the product, it only means one thing that the product was misrepresented at the point of sale.

i am on the road driving most of the time, i use bluetooth to connect my phone to my car. with the absence of the bluetooth functionality i am at risk of causing accidents on the road. the wifi i use at home most of the time as to connect to my telkom wifi router.

again out of desperation i had no choice but to upgrade prematurely!

i am a loyal customer to telkom, my home land line and wifi is with you. however i feel that i have been ****** by the same company that i am loyal to.

currently the huawei p8 lite is as good as dead as the most important functions are not working. Telkom refuses to take the phone back .

my request is that you repair the phone, as you are the one that sold me false hopes by recommending the handset as the best in the market while you knew that the phone will eventually die before 24 months.

Telkom agents are pathetic just like their manager Audresia Rampersad who never return my calls and no one willing to give me an email address to submit a formal complaint.
