TELKOM - PATHETIC!!!!

I actually have no words for this pathetic organization!

I live in Krugersdorp and work from home, totally dependent on the internet. We have a Business account with Telkom and I have had intermittent internet disconnections for the past three weeks. Every day, it is just worse and worse. I have internet for 5 minutes, then it goes off for several minutes, then 5 minutes on, etc. etc. etc. Every time this happens, I loose all my connections to servers, programmes, etc. Everytime I call Telkom, I speak with someone different. They have now come to the conclusion after 3 weeks of NOTHING that it is a copper cable problem in this area. No-one can tell you when and if it will be resolved, you cannot speak with a senior person, you get as far as the "consultant" answering at Faults and Support. Try and cancel the service and they very quickly remind you that you have a contract and confirm a cancellation fee!!!! WHAT FOR???????? I pay the account every month, even-though I do not receive the service I am paying for!!!!! I had a 20 Meg line, which they reduced to a 10 Meg line and now receive 6 Meg!!!!! No-one is interested in resolving the issue and each new person you speak with, promises escalations, whara-whara-whara!!!!! PLEASE - THINK A HUNDRED TIMES before you use Telkom as your Internet Provider. Rather pay three times more and have consistency and decent support!!!
