Telkom packages are nothing but a ****

We are two people living in our house, so we thought the uncapped plan at telkom, specifically advertised for people who use streaming services, with good download and upload speeds.

Sounds perfect right? Well, if a company lies about these services it’s not so great.

Having a “soft cap” on uncapped packages I can understand, but at 200GB? When you’re advertising it for people using streaming services specifically? Are you insane? If you use Netflix with proper internet, it automatically detects what quality you can handle and sets it to the best quality. Any and all streaming service does this. And the internet isn’t ONLY used for streaming.

Now that alone is ridiculous, but “soft capping” us when we KNOW we have NOT used that much data is even worse. We tried contacting Telkom SEVERAL times about this and have gotten no help at all, only excuses time and time again. I was alone at home for 2 weeks and in less than that time we were “soft capped” once again, this is while I’m alone and I’m aware of the **** that Telkom pulls so I monitored my usage CLOSELY.

Does it stop there? Nope, not at all, once we get “soft capped” we go from having speeds of 15mpbs (on average) to 0.0Xmbps. At the moment it’s 0.02mbps. Are you kidding me?! What exactly can you do at that speed? Would you like to test it out for us by using it at your own offices for a couple of weeks and see how much you get done??

We’ve had horrible service from previous packages at Telkom before (where our speeds were inconsistent or non-existent and our data just “disappeared” or the midnight data was not implemented at all and we were refused a solution or refund) and for some idiotic reason thought that maybe upgrading to the uncapped package would be better.

The problem wasn’t the package, it’s TELKOM.

Horrible service, lies and ****************.

We have to BUY EXTRA DATA on an UNCAPPED PACKAGE just to get REASONABLE speeds so our internet isn’t completely useless!

Telkom should be put out of business and sued so that people can actually get the money back that Telkom so casually just takes from it’s customers!!!
