Telkom owes me money

i had an ADSL line with Telkom. I paid Telkom each month for the 10MB speed and line rental. I made a few complaints on HelloPeter and to their emails that i am only getting speeds of 4 to 6MB/s while i am paying for 10MB/s. I have asked for them to come and test the line with them refusing of just never sending a technician.

I have sent a cancellation request earlier this year for the product since i am not getting what im paying for. They then handed my details over to their debt collectors by the name of Nu Debt management. I told them i will not pay telkom because i want my money back as i paid for a 10mb line and did not receive that speeds. Nu-Debt then asked me to send the proof of emails that i sent to Telkom and i sent it to Nu debt. They came back and said Telkom wants their R1600 and completely ignores my part of the request that i want my money also back for me paying for a 10mb line and not getting that speeds that was advertised in my area.

Nu-Debt is now using multiple agents to contact me more that 10 times a day, also harassing my work colleagues to try and get me to pay. I have to explain to each agent my situation.

I stand by my story that Telkom refused me any service while i was a customer, never sorting out my line, and now when i stop paying they want my money.

Please avoid Telkom at any cost, and if you have a line with them, Test the line so it matches what you are paying for.
