Telkom order systems not working

App**** for a new landline installation using Telkom's online service which I did not get a response from after almost a week. Called and had to provide the details again to place the order. Once again I did not get feedback so I called again, finding that there is a problem with my order as there is a duplicate order for the same address... no ****.. YOUR SYSTEMS DO NOT WOR**** and how am I suppose to smell that there is an error with my order. If I did not call I would not have heard anything from Telkom but they are quick to get money from you.. no problem being proactive with collecting or cutting off lines!!Tried to get a follow-up on my order, providing my reference number to find that Telkom's "new" (but s****) security check requires you to provide them with all the information you entered online and via the phone again... ID, Mobile number, Banking details, home address, email address, what the call was logged for( but they have everything on their system on why the call was logged) Honestly by the time you finally get an update you are already fed up with the call center. Not even financial institutions security checks require this much information which is 10000 times more important than a stupid order for a line installation.

Good Day,

Thank you for the response but I am still waiting for the Manager who is called "Linda" to contact me from Friday 7 July 2017 as the sales person promised that "He" will be in contact. Both Managers and Supervisors are always in meetings or not available from 8 - 5 the evening which I find highly unlikely.

The main issue is that when I call Telkom for followups they either give me the wrong / no information. I called 3 times on Friday as I had to take leave due to the "Technician" being scheduled to be onsite....Just to find out after 5 PM the evening once I called again the Technician has updated the ticket 11 AM the morning already. Either your systems take forever to update information or everyone behind the phone line are not trained to provide a service which millions of customers pay for.

FYI.... I was supposed to get updates via SMS and guess what... NO SMS's received.

This is really pathetic coming from the biggest Telecommunication company in SA.

Should I say more?????
