Telkom only lies and never delivers and now I have no where to stay and am stranded

Absolutely horrible !! I requested to have sms roaming before my 1 year stay overseas so I could at least get my banking otps and do payments and transfers if there are any emergencies. I was confirmed 3 TIMES that this was activated only weeks later of providing the forms. Of course the only way I could no for sure was once I was gone and boy was I wrong and smacked in the face. My SIM card was absolutely dead. Couldn’t do anything let alone sms. Got a family member to call customer service and they’re closed tomorrow said oops they activated calling roaming instead….all lie/ obviously because my sim couldn’t receive or send anything and wasn’t even recognized on my phone anymore, and also how could they activate calling when they confirmed 3 TIMES that my sms roaming was active. When asked if they could fix it they said they can’t since I’m already out of the country so now I’ve officially lost my number not even a day since my arrival. Now it’s a few days later and I need to make urgent payments but of course I can’t because I cannot receive any otps. I called the bank and the bank and they can’t assist me unless I have a number to call so here’s it coming back full circle because I have none not even a number in the foreign country as this is a process that will take weeks still. Now I have to forfeit my accommodation and have no where to stay for a year and no money to even find another place till I can get a new number, and if I’m lucky I can buy a loaf of bread every two days. So I hope all the people who were responsible in this processing face every misfortune for lying and not doing their job and fixing their own mistakes and I pray Telekom burns to the ground. Please don’t bother with this company they are not worth your money, and rather use providers that you can trust even if they’re mo43 pricey at least you have better peace of mind
