telkom once again cannot deliver

Good day ,i recently upgraded my telkom adsl to a 24mnt contract which included a free modem and a lit box,the modem was delivered but due to telkom not having stocks on the box i excepted and waited.its gone 3 weeks now and onto the 4th week still no response.i called the call center and was told the box is still out off stocks and they have no idea as to when the box will arrive.the agents just say theres nothing they can do i just have to wait.This is not the service i expected from a big company to advertise a product and cannot deliver.
