Telkom of no service

I am using a Telkom landline. My phone has been "dead" for longer than a month. Ive logged calls with Telkom for a new phone (simcard is working) but told that im going to wait very long for assistance and yet im paying my rental every month! This is unacceptable! Why must I go to a branch out of town when they dont even have technicians! Im a 68 year old who simply wants to use her landline!!
