Telkom number change for new contract - taking 2 weeks - ridiculous

I purchased a contract 3 weeks ago, received the contract 2 weeks ago. and requested a number change so that i can use my own number ***) on the contract instead on a new number. This should be relatively easy as my number was already a Telkom prepaid number.

Now my number is not working, people cannot get hold of me on my number and i use this for business contact details.

How is it possible that it takes 2 weeks for you to do a normal number change and best of all, the number is already with you???
