Telkom not replacing ADSL cables due to Cable Theft [Inchanga | Monteseel]

So long story short, the ADSL cabling running into our area has been ******.

Took Telkom days to figure out what the issue was. We reported the issue three times to which we received an SMS saying the line had been restored and it hadn’t, to later find out from our community that they have just decided to not replace it/them. No communication from Telkom - a telecommunication company?

The funny thing is that we have a police station in the area some couple hundred meters away with fiber, and Telkom have had all the ADSL lines removed. Why is there no plan to install fiber, why can the resourced used to remove the ADSL line be used to lay down fiber…

ASAP.co.za - no coverage at our location LTE isn’t an option either

tech5.co.za - going to check with these guys, but a little more expensive

Just another reason to leave the country…
