Telkom not interested in recovering cable

On 16 December 2018 midnight possibly 2 assailants tried to ***** the telkom cable in our area. Luckily one of the neighbours heard the cable fall and the *****s were not able to take the cable. Some of the neighbours ral**** up to keep watch in order to ensure that the ******* don't come back for the cable .We had been struggling since midnight to get hold of telkom only to be referred to different people. We eventually got hold of them at 10:00 am and explained that we were afraid that the ******* might come back for the cable. We wanted telkom to at least recover the cable instead of a complete lose for them. I guess we were the idiots because the lack of response or urgency by telkom tells us that our efforts were for nothing. This cable( which is very long ) was cut and is in people's yards and puts them in danger if the ******* decide to come back. The lack of responsibility and empathy by telkom is disappointing.
