Telkom not COVID compliant
My mum and I upgraded our contract a few weeks ago at the Telkom Store in Cresta, we were asked to upgrade in store as they were not able to assist us telephonically. During our visit, I had to ask both staff and customers to keep their masks on. After processing all the details of our upgrade, we were then advised that the phones are not in stock, so we had to return in four days, once again, staff sitting on top of each other and not wearing masks, I asked the lady at the door who sanitising everyones hands to please ask them to put their masks on.
My mum and I have had numerous issues when making calls, so we tried to resolved the matter Telkom without going into the store but once again there was no resolution and we had to return to the Cresta branch. I had no choice but to go with my 9month old son and mum who is a high risk during this pandemic. Once again, staff with no mask, piled on top of each other, customers removing their masks in store to talk to staff. I asked for a manager and was told that the manager does not come in, I spoke to four staff members, requesting that social distancing be observed and that they enforce wearing of masks in store, there are other peoples lives at stake and they are being very careless. I was then told that if they have to remove their masks to hear and speak to each other. If I feel so strongly about COVID, I should put a mask on my 9month old baby.
So please tell me, what is the point of having customers queue outside your store, take their temperature and contact details and then sanitise them, if all the rules put in place to keep us safe fall away as soon as you enter the store?
Is there anyway of me getting assistance with our contracts that were incorrectly processed - because based on the contract I signed, Telkom is already in breach of the contract!!!
