Telkom not attending to query

I have now been struggling to get an answer with regards to an issue that has been ongoing since 4th July 2017. I went to the Telkom store in Tygervalley on the 1st of July to take out a laptop contract. The contract was processed but they could not give me the laptom since they could not open the cupboard. The manager then brought me the laptop to my home the evening of the 1st. However, when we opened the laptop and started the configuration process, we noted that the screen was faulty. I took back the laptop to the store on the 2nd of July and requested the contract to be cancelled since they could not provide me with a new working laptop. I completed a Customer Request for Contract and Service Cancellation form - case ********** 5 - and signed for the cancellation of the laptop contract ( service number to be cancelled ********** 221). However, on the 4 th of July I received a sms to state that my cellphone contract has now also been cancelled and transferred to prepaid without my permission. I phoned Telkom and spoke to Bongile who confirmed this and basically said that I cannot do anything about it and will receive my last bill end of July. Then on the 7th of August I received a bill that included an amount of R5 869.26 for the cancellation of my cellphone contract as well as an amount of R247.61 for the laptop which I dont have in my posession and which I cancelled a few hours after receiving the faulty device. I phone Telkom and received two case numbers - ********** to reinstate my cellphone contract and cancel the costs on my bill and ********** 7 for the laptop costs on the bill. I received two smses on the 10th of August to say that the cases have been resolved and that I should phone Telkom for more information. I phoned and spoke to Akhoma Mosoang who confirmed that my contract will be reinstated and that the costs of the laptop will be cancelled and that I will receive a revised bill. I phoned again on the 15th of August justvto make sure sine there was no indication that my cellphone was on contract again. I was told thatcthe cases have been closed without it being resolved. I did not get any further communications from Telkom. I spoke to Sinenhlanhla and Doidumelo on the 15th of August to ask to please give me feedback on the cases. I was promised that the issue will be escalated to the manager and that I will receive feedback by the end of the day. I did not receive any feedback. I phoned again on the 16th of August and was advised to open a new case number - ********** 0 - by Desmond Rabalago. Since then, I have received no feedback. I followed up again on the 22nd of August, I went to the Telkom store in Stellenbosch and Herchelle there again logged that an urgent reply is required, I phoned Telkom again twice on the 22nd, I emailed Desmong, ********** ********** and still no feedback. I followed up again on the 24th of August and spoke to Rethabile and Aqueelah Hendricks who promised that they will escalate the matter and provide feedback. Nothing. On the 25th of August I received an sms to say that the case is resolved. I phoned Telkom and was informed that my contract is still on prepaid and the fees still on my bill. Nothing was resolved. I was promised that someone will phone me back. Nothing. I emailed Aqueelah, Rethabile and Desmond again to please ask for assistance. Nothing. What must be done for Telkom to take me seriously and to address the issue?! Maryke ********** 408
