Telkom no wifi,kids cant do their school work

I have a adsl line with telkom which is totally dead,first they said it was my wifi router that was broken so I purchased a brand new one for R1300.00,had it installed by a I.t company for another R450.00.Back on the phone with telkom,still does not work,they will have to send a technician out to look,they cannot tell me when. In the mean time my children cannot do their school work and are falling behind even further ,I also work remotely from home but cannot get any work done with out wifi. Could someone from telkom please resolve my issue. My reference number for the fault log is ***8.
