Telkom - No Ports. No ETA
My situation is as follows:

I've requested a line conversion on an existing voice line.
The sole purpose of this line was for internet connectivity. I have no need for the voice aspect.

On 2015-02-10 an order was finally added to Telkom's system after the installation of a standard land line. (***)

The order was for the conversion of the voice line to an ADSL line. (According to Telkom I would need a normal line first and then convert it).
This was done through my ISP.

After weeks and weeks of waiting and numerous calls to Telkom I have finally been told that there are no available dslam network ports for the area.
I have been completely unable to get any sort of indication from Telkom as to when this will be resolved. The best I got was that I'm on a waiting list.
The area is neither remote nor secluded.

This problem has been escalated numerous times by both Telkom and my ISP.

This basically means that I need to wait until the exchange is upgraded or someone cancels their ADSL in order to have ADSL.

The ETA is anywhere from a week to year (Apparently).

It is now 2015-03-30 and still no progress on this.
I am of course still being billed for line rental.
