TELKOM NIGHTMARE

This is my story:

We moved to a new house last year October at first, I wanted to transfer the service, this I requested online but no one phoned as promised in the 48hours. I then cancelled my Telkom account last year on the 23rd of October via their online system, I have received a confirmation email that this was in progress, believing that this matter was settled I left overseas for work. As I discovered that Telkom was still deducting money from my account I visited one of their branches on my return in December, where I was told that my subscription was cancelled and no further information was given. I tried phoning their helplines to no avail, holding on for more than 30 minutes at a time. I then received a message stating that payment was overdue. I phoned that specific office only to be told that I must pay, I then visited again their branch. Here I was then given a cancelation document to fill in. I then received a message that a dispute was opened and I should send them the emails which they originally sent, which I did promptly. I received e-mail read receipts, but no action has been taken. It then took almost a day for the lady to answer a number that was provided in a text message. I was then told that my debit order was going to be stopped as off last month, but guess what, it went off my account once more.

During this time, it seems as if the new tenants in our old house managed to change the contract to a different tariff. HOW is that even possible without my ID book being present or any other information of mine to the new tenants.

I am considering laying charges against Telkom (I have all my documentation ready), but if we get more people together we can have a bigger case. They are deducting for services not rendered, this is *****. My invoice to telkom is about R4000.00.
