Telkom new Contract Iphone 13 sent back within 7 day Period

I recently upgraded my contract with Telkom and got an Iphone 13. It took a month or two for the order to be fulfilled as they were waiting for stock.

While I was waiting for the phone to be delivered I also opened a new Contract for an Iphone 13 for my son at University.

It also took a long time to arrive. When I had received it I no longer needed it as the order took way to long to arrive and I contacted Telkom within the 7 day period and they said they will send the couriers to come and collect..

I spoke to a consultant who said they were experiencing Technical difficulties with there systems in April and she will log it on her side as soon as there systems are online.

A few days later the courier was sent to collect the phone. I asked the Courier if there was a reference number and he said it was not necessary and to use the Original Waybill number.

I then got a sms message back from Telkom that the Phone is being sent in for Repairs.

I contacted Telkom and spoke to several consultants who says they will get someone to investigate it and I would be given a case number.

I sent through a PDF of the Original Waybill number, my ID and the SMS stating it was sent in for Repairs.

This was never investigated and I again called Telkom several times until finally the call was assigned to be investigated.

I was recently given a case number and was told the incident was resolved not telling me what the outcome was.

I tried contacting Telkom several times again and eventually got hold of a consultant. The consultant went into my profile and could see no notes of what was investigated and said the case was closed. She said when that happens then usually it means that they could not find a Waybill number.

She told me that I needed to contact the courier to get the Waybill number for when it was picked up. This was suppose to have been investigated as they did receive the phone according to the SMS that it was sent in for Repairs even though the Phone package was not opened and phone was not even used.

I am still being billed every month for a phone no longer in my possession which was sent back to Telkom with the Skynet Courier they sent. I am my wits end and I am busy logging a case with the National Consumer Commission to investigate further.

I urge Telkom if you reading this that I will be taking legal action if this is not resolved soon.
