TELKOM: MONEY MAKING SCHEME
<p>I had a telkom account and when I signed the agreement it said I will only pay R500 pm. I noticed that they started to debit my account with amounts higher than R500. It was usually R600-700. Upon going to the Telkom store in Bellville, they said that I had "extra Gigs". This was not explained to me in anyway. I continued to use the service for ablout 2 months but i realised it wasnt worth it so i went to the Telkom store in Parow center. They said they will cancel my account and I had signed the documnets and everything. I asked if there will be any cancellation fee and the consultant told me that there will be no cancellation fee because my account is within 3 months (I have emails to prove this). After i signed the document, I thought i was done with telkom but the next month they debited my account with R316. </p> <p>It took ages for me to get this issue t]resolved because every store i went to didnt have the necessary answers and just out me through to the call center where all i got was a case number. After a couple months and a few visits to the store (where i got transferred to the call center) they paid back th R316 into my account. Once again I thought that I was done with Telkom but then again they satrted to send letters stating that I owe them money( about R570). I Went to the store to enquire this and once again, no one had amy answers and transferred me to the call centre when i was given a case number and a few weeks later they smsed me to say the issue was resolved. </p> <p>I honestly thought that i was FINALLY done with Telkom but then last month they Debited R570 from my account. I do not know what that R570 is for or why I owe it to them. </p> <p>Telkom takes advantage of people like me who do not have the time and money to look into issues like this. I am sure I am not the only one, my mother has also had many problems with her Telkom account. Telkom takes veery long to tend to the problems and no one really has an answer for your quiries. Talking to someone over the phone is not the same as talking to someone in person, it is even more frustrtaing!!!!! </p> <p>NEVER USING TELKOM AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE THEIR SERVICES!</p>
