Telkom Moble Contract - IMPOSSIBLE to Cancel

<p>I went into the Canal Walk branch of Telkom Mobile on the 18th April 2016 and completed a cancellation document. I was told that someone from the cancellations department would contact me within a couple of days to provide me with a final settlement figure to enable me to cancel the contract (as I am cancelling before the contract term is up). I then called the telkom mobile contact centre 081180 and was told that they did not recieve the document, so I emailed it on the 24th April. I was told that someone from cancellations would contact me within 72 hours. After this time elapsed I called again and was told no it takes 21 working days and I just need to be patient. I called again today and was told that it is showing on the system that the request was closed on the 24th May. But nobody has called me and I have been unable to pay my settlement figure and I am still being billed!!! Another case has been logged which is going to take another 72 hours to look at and 72 hours to action, which is another week gone. This is completely unacceptable. I have made a minimum of 5 calls to Telkom since the 24th April to try get a settlement figure and feel like I am being forced to stay within the contract. The contract should have already been stopped. I dont know what more to do.</p>
