TELKOM MOBILE ****S
So I app**** for a mobile device wit Telkom mobile on the 30th of January 2020. Thye then go ahead and debt an amount of R299 from my account as a test debit. Telkom then promises to deliver my cellphone within 7working days of which they don't. weeks goes by and still nothing from Telkom. I then decide to do the honors and contact them to find out what is happening. They tell me they currently do not have the device in stock and they need to wait for more orders to arrive in South Africa (mind you they already debited my account without checking if they have stock first.) I then request them to cancel my order and refund my money of which they agree to do so within to working days and they still don't reverse my money. after a couple of weeks I then decide to contact my bank and reverse the funds from my side and that is successful. So I al have a router that I took from Telkom in 2018 and that account is in no way linked to the new contract I was about to take with Telkom for my cellphone. Telkom then decides that they will take this R299 for a test debit on my device and link it to my router account without informing me. So they do not debit my account for the router in Feb and March 2020 since they supposedly credited the R299 to my router account without even informing me. So now on the 23/03/2020 I receive and sms from Telkom saying that my router account is in arrears and I should make payment to avoid my services being terminated. I then contact Telkom on the 24/03/2020 to get more information in regards to this and I am advised by a consultant by the name of Thandeka Mbatha that Telkom had taken the R299 which was for the test debit for the cellphone and credited it into the router account and when I reversed it, the router account was then affected. I was not advised of this, nobody from Telkom even gave themselves time to contact me and advise me of this. Today 26/03/2020 I call in again since well Telkom never call their clients unless they want to sell you something and I am advised that I need to pay the outstanding amounts in order for my services to be reinstated. My ITC is now affected by this and Telkom is not even willing to assist in any way. I am fed up with Telkom and will cancel all my services with them going forward.
