I bought a phone on the 19/06/2018 (Hauwei p10+) and experienced that the phones battery was depleting dramatically without me doing anything on the phone. I then returned the phone to the telkom branch in Cresta to tell them the problem I have on the 27/06/2018 (please bare in mind that it is still in warranty ), one the the workers there stated that they would need to take it in for repairs as they need to find out what is wrong with the phone and that I might be liable with regards to the repairs. I then stated to them that I either want to contract cancelled or my phone replaced, the workers didn't pay me no mind and said I should just wait to get an sms from the repairs team to notify me whats the next stage to take or I could just go online to cancel the contract. I find that this service is completely unsatisfactory as they never even tried to resolve the issue at hand and now I am paying for a phone that I am not even using as it is sent to the repairs team. I understand that that is the process but the fact that its a brand new phone and never had it for more than 7 working days should be a result of a replacement of the phone. I will never do business nor notify anyone to do business with Telkom as they do not know customer etiquette
