TELKOM MOBILE FALSE ADVERTISING

<p>Telkom mobile website advertises the Huawei P9 Lite with a free 32GB USB drive for R199.00Went to the Gateway Branch and signed up for the deal only to be told after the contract was signed up the the deal no more comes with the 32GB USB drive.Double checked on the website and the exact deal is still there.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is totally misleading the consumer and is essentially false advertising.</p> <p>"Deceptive advertising, also known as false advertising, refers to a manufacturer's use of confusing, misleading, or blatantly untrue statements when promoting a product. Advertising law will protect consumers from deceptive advertising through the enforcement of specific legislation."</p> <p> </p> <p>PS.Did not cancel the contract.</p>
