Telkom Mobile dropping calls

<p>Fault logged with Telkom Mobile on 7 Feb (Their reference # ********** 1). This number is used for business purposes. Calls to and from my handset keep cutting off. Mostly the calls are OK when I return the call again, but sometimes it takes 3 or 4 calls before I get a connection that lasts long enough to conduct business.</p> <p>I have called Telkom back in excess of 10 times to date to follow up and keep getting the same message, in that it has been sent to their Networks Department. Upon my last call they say they have tried to call me, yet I have no missed calls on my phone.</p> <p> </p> <p>On 23 February I submitted a request to cancel my contract due to the constant dropping of calls, but have heard nothing in that regard neither. When I follow up on that, they say I must give them 21 days to respond. Today is day 13, so I have to accept another 8 days of calls cutting off while I wait for their 21 days to expire.</p> <p> </p> <p>Telkom Mobile is given high ratings in the market news, yet their agents at the helpdesks tell me this is a national problem where calls are being cut off. </p> <p> </p> <p>What I want is for Telkom to cancel the current contract without penalties and allow me to migrate my number to another service provider asap.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
