Telkom Mobile Data
We switched to a Telkom Fibre option round about November 2018 after being a Telkom ADSL user for many years. First of all it took 3 months and several calls before the business actually happened. Since then the internet connection has given us problems on a regular base. These were still resolved by logging calls. The main problem however is that a 1 GB mobile data simcard is part of our package. I bought a mobile wifi router (Huawei) and eventually (after a few visits to the Telkom shop) manage to connect my phone and laptop to the simcard. However, I cannot access the internet as it gives a message to say "Out of Bundle" and that my data has been used up - but I have not used a single byte thereof!!! I phoned to try and resolve and at least 3 times the landline division (after holding on for almost an hour and explaining my problem to at least 3 people) refer me to the mobile division. Then I go through the same procedure and in the end I am told that I have to call the landline department because the simcard needs to be linked to our Telkom landline package! On another occation I was told that we have to go into the Telkom shop to have this done. My husband (who is the contract owner) went to the Telkom shop at least 3 times and the problem is still not resolved. The calls logged in person, per telephone and on the website are just closed after a while without any contact or results. My husband refuses to embark on another session of queing, explaining etc and if I try and they hear that I am not the legal contract owner they inform me that I cannot act on my husband's behalf. We have been paying for a service for almost 6 months now without being able to use it. The frustration is unbearable. Please HELP!!!!!! Thanks Loraine
