Telkom Mobile Contract Suspension

My name is Ntokozo Ngubane. I have had a Telkom Mobile SmartInternet contract since June 2016. I was ****** December 15, 2017 and amongst the items taken from me was my cellphone with my Sim card. The next day December 16, 2017 I went to report the incident at the Telkom Mobile branch in Greenstone Mall.

The consultant who attended to me advised that I should suspend the sim card in the interim and do a sim swap at a later stage and, bring my ID and proof of residence to effect the sim swap. From that point onwards I was given the run around and I have had no joy.

1) The action effected by the consultant at Telkom Mobile Greenstone was for a customer who is failing to pay their account when all I had requested was to deactivate the sim card of my ****** phone. 2) The Telkom billing department informed the Telkom Mobile consultant that they cannot reverse the sim card suspension... I don't know why??? 3) I called the Telkom billing department myself, they informed me that the incorrect form of sim card suspension was used. They promised to resolve the matter on their side by 27 December 2017. 4) My usual debit order day is the 25th of each month. As a result of the suspension, my December debit order was not pulled. 5) Fast forward to February 1, 2018 my sim card is still not working!!! The sim swap has not been concluded to date!!! I have been to the Telkom Mobile branch in Greenstone and Festival Mall on numerous occasions and I get a different "story" every time.

In the mean time, I have been expected to pay for no service!!
