Telkom Mobile BAD SURVICE

I am totally at my wits end. I have in my life not received such bad service from a mobile provider as with telkom mobile.

I have a mobile contract wit Telkom Mobile that started in 2014. All went well we had no problems back then. We did the upgrade on my mobile this year in 2016 (27th Of January) I asked about insurance regarding my mobile phone where I was told that telkom mobile don't offer insurance and that they are still working on insurance. I was told that once it was available that all clients would get a notification regarding that. It never happened.

So to get to the point,Iam a manager of a business and I work the hole day on my phone. Phone calls, emails, whatsappe and messages. On the 28/09/2016 I was working with my phone , fife minutes later when I wanted to check if I have gotten a reply from one of my workers my phone was dead. I found this strange as my battery was at almost 50%. I tried switching the device back on and nothing happened. I Plugged my phone in to the charger and nothing would happen. Needles to say I took my phone in to a Telkom Express Store . I was informed that they will have to book my phone in and send it to be checked and repaired. That I had no problem with. I was told that it would 21 days.

In the week that follows I got an SMS stating that the repair cost will be almost R5000 and that I need to pay this to get my phone back and to be repaired. After long phone calls from the one department to the next with no one being able to tell me exacly what the problem is and why I need to pay that amount for a phone that is (at that time) 8months old and hase a 2year worenty. With a big fight I was told that I needed to bring proof that the phone is mine and on contract.

I don't understand why, a phone has a serial number. That number is on my contract and on the computer system. So why I needed to take a copy of my contract and the proof slip that I got the day that I got the phone I really don't know. I was told that if I don't bring that proof the phone will be fix to my bill of this almost R5000. If I do bring this paperwork the phone will be fixed and I wont be charged. This we did on the 7th of October.

We waited all this time with no update as to what is the problem with the phone. All in the meantime I don't have a proper phone to do my business with. Worst part of all is I lost all my contacts ass it was not saved to my sim or memmorycard . The same with a lot of messages and pictures work related.

On Sunday 22 of October I went to a different Telkom Mobile store asking if they could check on the system what is happening. The lady informed me that the mobile has already been at the retail store that it was handed in as of the 17th of October. On Monday 23d of October we went to the retail store where I was told that they will not help me unless I bring an SMS stating that I could pick up the mobile, I was sent home empty handed. On 26th of October I once again called the customer call center where I was not helped , I was told that I need to go to the rattail store and ask them what is going on. I phoned them again asking to be helped regarding my mobile .

After a long argument it was established that the mobile indeed has been there and I could go and pick it up. Arriving at the store, I asked if the mobile had actually been fixed as it was still ****d in the same way as it was when I handed it in. I was told that they could not check as they don't have a battery to check if the phone dose turn on. After all this time there was nothing done with my phone. It is now almost one month later after I have booked my mobile in and it has not been fixed. I have no idea what the problem is and I am not getting any constructive help or feedback.

I so badly need my mobile back. I need my contact as I am loosing business. And just nobody is helping me. Now once again I have to hand my phone back in and wait another 21 days. At the end I will be without my mobile almost two months. And it just seems like nobody wants to help or tell you what the problem is.

So on Tuesday a lady phoned me telling me that she will look in to the problem. She told me that she would phone me on Wednesday to tell me what is going on. Upon asking her if I should wait before I take the device back to the store she told me to wait until she has phoned me back the next day. Now it is Friday and still now one has called me. Still my device has not been booked in and still I don't have a working mobile. In less than four weeks I am leaving the country for two months. Somehow I am getting the feeling that I will not have been able to use my mobile for four months. And still I have to pay for a device I am not able to use!!!!
