Telkom Mobile - Bad Customer Service

Why are Telkom Mobile staff so ***********? I went in today to take an upgrade and was told the most ridiculous thing. My contract ends this month and I was told that I would still b debited R399 at the end of this month and then have to pay R549 + R481 next month. I understand pro rata charges but clearly your staff does not. I would understand if only 2 charges were applicable but they insist that I will b paying all 3. And to top it all of, I was asked to leave and come back at the end of the month to avoid any confusion. If I wanted the upgrade at the end of the month then why did I get in my car and drive 20kms in this bad weather today? Now I'm hesitant about upgrading and I am really considering a new provider. Get with the programme Telkom Mobile, your service and your services is becoming really pathetic.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the lady I dealt with seeked help from 2 other sales people and they also did not know what was going on or how to explain the charges. I train people for a living and clearly these people have not been trained properly.

Now I phone the call centre and they tell me go in store after explaining the entire situation to them. Then get put on hold to speak to a team leader only to wait for 2minutes and then get told the team leader is busy on another escalation and the consultant tells me to cancel my contract and take a new 1. Is this really the level of service your entire organisation provides? ? ?
