Telkom milking me dry after an account that got canceled 4 years ago

Stay as far away from Telkom as you can. I a few years ago tried canceling my Telkom account after 3 days of signing the contract as it wasn't working for me. I payed cancelation fees sent emails alot of calls and all I ever got was "we will escalate the issue and our immediate cancelations department will call you within 48 hours" it's now been 4 years with apparently 23 open cases by them and I still have never been called by them. After about 8 months of reversing debit orders I actually swapped bank accounts to try and save my credit history as it was starting to look very very bad. Fast forward 4 yeas to 3 months before this review I get a call saying I owe Telkom R6k as after a few months someone used 6mb on that Sim card so they automatically renewed my account and canceled the cancelation. I personally cut the Sim card up because I was scared something like this might happen because I know by then already Telkom's first policy is to help you sign on as fast and easy as possible. Their second policy is to make cancelation impossible. So back to the current I payed the R6k those 3 months ago and they said they are gonna send me a settlement letter (once again I called in a few times and the matter gets escalated but ultimately nothing happens) now today I got a call saying I owe them another R3k for a new cancelation fee. My next step before I pay even a cent to telkom is to start talking to a lawyer because they are gonna bleed me dry till I've payed the entire contract and then start pushing to see just how much money they can force out of me. Anyone reading this take this as a word of advice don't use telkom they are so *********** or flat out ******** up to you to decide but I will start seeing a lawyer to start fighting this issue.
