Telkom mess up big time, once again showing they do not care

Once again Telkom has proved how pathetic they are. This is what happens when you try to cancel a Telkom standalone email address which one gets from Telkom iDirect. On 30/01/2019 I contacted the Call Centre at 10210 (As it is reflected on my monthly invoice) to arrange for my standalone email address to be cancelled. The agent tells me to call 10213 to get a TIN number as he cannot pick up anything from the customer and Account number I gave him. So, I call 10213 and the agent obviously had no clue about this type of account (Could also not detect anything) and wanted my Telkom Mobile Number which I do not have as I am not with Telkom Mobile, but he kept on insisting about the Telkom Mobile Number. By this time I was so frustrated that I am afraid I was not very polite any longer. Eventually he gave me an order number ********** 41A. I pointed out to him that I was not asking for my Landline to be disconnected but merely wanted the email address and account therefor terminated. He confirmed that he understood and told me to go back to 10210 and give them the order number. Upon phoning 10210 I spoke to another agent who told me that neither they or 10213 can help with this but told me to send an email to ********** which I immediately did. This had all taken about 2 hours. The next morning (31/01/2019) I noticed my ADSL router was not connected to the internet. Upon trying to make a phone call I got a voice message that my Landline was suspended for non-payment and that I should phone 10210. First thing I heard when I phoned 10210 was a voice message that my line was suspended for non-payment, my account balance was ZERO and the last payment was received on 25/01/2019. Eventually I got through to an agent who confirmed that the line was suspended in view of number ********** 41A. He agreed it was and error and said he would email the person at 101213 to reconnect. He said if nothing happened I must phone 10210 again at 13:00. This was at about 10:30. I phoned back at 12:05 and spoke to an agent who asked me to hold on while she contacted the re-connection section. While I was waiting I noticed that the internet connection was restored. She came back to me and confirmed that my line was restored. Why did the first agent I spke to not do that? On Friday 01/02/2019 I received an email reply from someone called Tandile at Telkom iDirect wanting a copy of my ID and a letter of intent. I returned this to her the same day and am still waiting for feedback about the cancellation of this email address. I also tried to speak to a senior person at Telkom but it appears that consumer are not allowed to speak to them! There call centre staff can do as they please and management is totally unaware of their pathetic service. What do these managers at Telkom do all day?
