Telkom Maponya Mall

I recently went to tell Maponya twice to port from MTN to Telkom E-sim, the first time I was told that the barcodes were finished, the second time I was told they don’t do E-sim and that I should go to Southgate.

Yesterday (30/05/2026) I called Telkom customer to check where can I go to port to Telkom using E-sim as Telkom Maponya mall had said only a few branches do E-sim and the customer care consultant told me there is no such thing I can go to any Telkom.

Today (31/05/2026) I went back to Telkom Maponya mall and spoke to Fikile Tshabalala who then said Telkom does not port on weekends only Monday to Thursday. I asked for a reason why and she could not account. I then requested to speak to a manager. Sabelo Mmeti (manager) came and I explained my story he first insulted me and said I am lying I then asked him why can’t I port today and he said ever since he worked for Telkom it has never been done and failed to give me a proper reason why it can’t be done through stating facts.

My time, my effort and in this economy my money is being wasted on these trips.
