TELKOM MANUFATURES DEBTS AND HANDS YOU OVER

So I took out a sim card years ago, the R70 contract sim. I then closed the account and moved on with my life. To my surprise, the account has been active and running without my knowledge. Its been years since I've received data from them or any statement stating that I owe the account. To my surprise, I wake up to a P&P Attorneys sms saying that I've been handed over. I am so lost because I recently just paid off a landline account they said I owed, and now this crops up this morning.

Telkom is a business that is looking to generate revenue lost through handing people over without their knowledge. You'll wake up then boom, you owe telkom.

I've lodged the matter with ICASA and currently looking for any ombudsman that is inline with regulating them. I hope I come right.
