"TELKOM MANAGERS REFUSE TO CALL BACK CUSTOMERS, DISGUSTING SERVICE"
There has been no ADSL and land line which has been reported on Tuesday morning. I have been phoning at approximately every two and half hours for updated statuses since Tuesday morning when the fault has been reported. Every consultant spoken with has their own and very different lead time. Telkom consultants are unable to phone or contact the technical department, telkom consultants are unable to make these phone calls, how ironic is that. They can only send emails. Normal practice is for telephonic or verbal communication as the first and simplest form of communication, and emails to confirm such communication. I have requested on several occasions to speak with a manager. I have left several messages for managers to contact as they are never available when I call. Managers such as Austin and Nomfundo, who has still not contacted me up until now. I have spoken with a manager by the name of Bianca who stated that a technician is currently working on the problem and she will call me back with updated feedback. She has not called back and as of my last call now she has left her shift already. On this last call I have spoken with a consultant Songeziwe who's information was extremely limited and an even more limited ability to treat this on going fault with priority or urgency. The call was approximately 20 minutes long, of which I was holding on the line for about 80% of the time, because her so called manager by the name of Siseko refused to even call me back. Siseko was apparently busy with a client but at the same time communicate with Songeziwe that he will not call me back. According to Songeziwe, Siseko reports to Sando who is currently not on shift. According to Songeziwe there are no more managers on the shift that I can actually speak with. This concludes to the following points. 1. There are either no formal procedures and lead times, Or no communication Or no trained or competetent employees Or perhaps all of the above 2. Managers do call back customers or fulfill their promises to call back, or simply refuse to call back. Which means utter disrespect to their customers. If managers do not care about customers why would other employees/consultants care. 3. Telkom cannot phone their own technicians and technical services department internally as communications provider. 4. If this problem is not considered a priority for telkom that it is an area fault or what telkom calls a "bulk fault" that many users are affected. Then what do smaller faults mean to them, or how long will telkom take to resolve a larger fault.
