Telkom - "Making your life as difficult as possible"

Placed a fibre order at a Telkom branch nearly 5 weeks ago. They assured me it would take 7-14 business days for the order to be fulfilled. During the 14 days I called the branch multiple times for an update and was repeatedly told that the order is receiving attention. After 14 business days had lapsed I called the “main Telkom” for a status update and was told there was no order on the system. I went back to the branch and was told that they had emailed the order to Telkom (the branch is Telkom so how does that work) but they hadn’t had a response yet. So in two weeks one email was sent and no follow up? Why does it operate off email and not a system where the branch agent can make the order? They assured me it would be done that day, and it was. The order was denied because the agent forgot to attach my proof of address. So we started over. The order was placed again and I made sure to call for an update every day, I even tried messaging the official FaceBook page but was put through to a chat bot that didn’t help at all. I eventually got a message from Telkom saying that the order was fulfilled and the fibre service can now be used. We were still yet to receive the router and subsequent installation. I called again (for the 30th time now). I finally got through to an agent that could actually help, and I was told that the order had been fulfilled but no router would be delivered and no installation would occur because there was a previous fibre connection at the house. The previous connection was for a different person and a different account. Numerous calls and reasoning later and finally an agent places an order for the router but informs me that no installation will occur, so I’ll have to figure that out myself. The router goes out for delivery however, Telkom gave the courier company the incorrect address - another problem created by Telkom for which I must resolve. I now have the router however, because no installation took place we are stuck with the current ONT that doesn't have a LAN port and the router only supports LAN ports. I called Telkom sales department to notify them of my issue to which I am told that because the line is active they cannot create an appointment for a technician to come do the installation and I must call the technical department but I will be charged a fee to have the technician come out. When I signed the contract it was stated that installation would occur free of charge. By this point I don't even care and am willing to pay to get the process finished. So I called the technical department and after a 23 minute call having to explain the issue over and over and being placed on hold multiple times, while the apparent "technician" agent consults their team-leader on what to do, I am eventually told that they cannot log the fault and I must call the sales department. I had just called them - they referred me to the technical department, so around in circles we go. Finally an agent at the sales department is able to log the appointment for the technician. I am still waiting to hear back about when the technician can come do the ONT installation. 54 calls in total to Telkom, nearly 5 weeks later and it is still not resolved.
