Telkom - Lying Corporate Machine

If I was able to give 0 stars as a rating that would fit this company 100%. Their consultants have no clue what their own products entail or they blatantly lie to us. They force you to move to a product that doesn't have sufficient coverage in your area and promote it as the next big thing whilst charging exorbitant amounts of money for the lackluster service they "provide". When reporting that the services is not working properly I am met with one of two responses, they either send me the terms and conditions for the services or they tell me to check their useless map and see whether better services are available, which guess what, there isn't. Now I am sitting with a supposedly Uncapped 10 mbps LTE product that fails to provide the same services as the 1 mpbs ADSL line that was initially installed over 8 years ago and the data allotment has been downsized by more that 3/4 of the amount I was getting with the 10mbps ADSL that I was using until late last year. Then on top of it all they still charge roughly the same amount for the service slapping a R50 discount on as if I am supposed to believe that I am winning by being downgraded to an inferior product. They refuse to reinstate the original product because they are apparently decommisioning copper but if they do that at the same pace as the fiber is being rolled out they should still be able to provide me with ADSL for the next 10 years until I can move over to fiber. Do not use Telkom at any cost as I was a happy customer for more than 8 years but the day will come when they will also disappoint you and ****** you because they once held the monopoly on Broadband Internet, but the market is changing and once another company rolls out in my area Telkom will lose me as a customer and I will spread the word of their lies and deceipt as gospel in my community.
