TELKOM LTE needs to improve on their mobile side.

<p>I have two cellphone contracts with MTN and cant really complain about their LTE coverage. I can text and watch You Tube and never feel fustrated. I then have two Telkom mobile simcards. One that I use inside a LTE modem which works fantastic. My seconds TELKOM sim card is in my daughters cellphone and the LTE and 3 G coverage is really pathetic compared to MTN. What I recently also did to compare the two networks was to insert my telkom modem sim into my dual simcard cellphone and I compared MTN with TELKOM. MTN beats TELKOM hands down. I tried this in my area where I live (Delville) and work (Waterkloof) and in both cases TELKOM cant compete with MTN when a sim of theirs is in a cellphone. The only time TELKOM offers me fair coverage is in a LTE router. My daughter complains daily about how slow her internet coverage is on her cellphone with TELKOM..... Shane on you guys telkom. Dont tell the whole South Africa how good you guys are when you know its not true. Just to be fair I inserted a MTN sim into my daughtes phone and guess what there was no problem at all. So what is my conclusion. TELKOM coverage aint good via a cellphone and TELKOM LTE is only functional in LTE router that can boost TELKOM LTE coverage. So dont move to TELKOM if you want to browse the internet via a cellphone. Telkom works well via a dedicated LTE router but thats where it stops. TELKOM are still light years behind VODACOM AND MTN. I doubt if I will move to TELKOM mobile due the vissible proof I have that TELKOM lags behind and this is in Gauteng...... Imagine how TELKOM will struggle outside GAUTENG. TELKOM your roaming agreement with MTN doesnt seem to work at all. If you dont believe me come and visit me and see for yourselves. So my advise if you read this is dont be fooled by TELKOM offering nice packages because they really do offer nice deals but you will not be able to use their services properly. And TELKOM if you dont like what you read come and proof me wrong. We can make a little video and post it on YOU TUBE just as proof that MTN is better in terms of LTE coverage. If MTN changes their deals to look like your FREEME deals in the future I will never move from MTN. My network of choice in the future will be AFRIHOST MOBILE or MTN but not TELKOM mobile unless you guys improve radically. I have tested and tried TELKOM now for I guess at least three years. So I cant be called unfair. Dont waiste you money on TELKOM is you want to use them via a cellphone.</p>
