Telkom LTE internet disintegrating

In April 2016 I changed from Telkom ADSL to their Big Deal LTE internet service. At the time Speedtest reported a download speed of 14 MBPS. About three weeks ago I noticed a marked deterioration in internet transfer speeds. I started monitoring with Speedtest and got download readings of 0.56 and less in Hennopspark/Clubview where I live. I took my HuaweiB315 LTE router to the Telkom shop in the Centurion Mall where it reported 10 MBPS. They advised me to report this problem to their online LTE Home Support Section, which I did. During one call back I was requested to do a factory reset, but this solved nothing. A technician was supposed to visit me, but two emails later, still no technician. This morning I received an SMS from Telkom advising that my case number is still in hand with their Networks Department and that further updates will be sent in 7 days.

Running comparative tests between my MTN Iphone and Telkom WIFI reported comparative figures of 9.5 vs 0.54 MBPS and on 30 Apr @ 22:14 and 16.72 vs 0.38 MBPS on 1 May @9:13 - certainly no match in performance.

My next door neighbour has been experiencing similar problems with his Telkom LTE internet and Telkom has not been able to resolve his problem, notwithstanding 13 calls and one visit from a Telkom technician. Certainly a sure sign of Telkom LTE internet internet disintegrating in our area!

The Telkom Social Media Team responded to my complaint twice (ref no : AI ********** ) and I received two SMS' about this matter. They promised me that an external antenna would be installed free of charge, but that's where their story ended. Most disappointing, since my download speedtests still report around 0.5 MB/sec - really a poor show for Telkom LTE.
