Telkom - Low on service

On 26 April a Call Centre sales person from T Connect made a sales call to me (Ref TC ********** 9-1). She called on behalf of Telkom who shared my ID number and person details with this third party call centre. She mislead me to believe that I am purchasing a 4 Mbps FIBRE deal. Weeks later a modem was delivered and we realised that it was not a FIBRE deal. After several calls, I learned that the only way to get out of this ********** deal was to launch a dispute. The dispute was handled by someone from Telkom that sounded very professional and with empathy. I receive a call confirming that the deal has been cancelled and I felt relieved as I already have an unlimited date deal with a different supplier. It is now two months later and I am still billed for the contract and for a data bundle that I am not using. When I call the Billing Department, they send me to the Sales Department and back and forth I am lead to believe that someone will listen and act, but I am not getting any joy. Apparently Telkom does not appoint calibre staff that are interested to take a problem and solve it, to call back and resolve an issue with customers. Although they are a telecommunications company, they can never call you back or follow up or resolve, they expect you to call time and time again without any real interest in resolving an issue.

I would like to report to Hello Peter - that the Telkom dispute has still not been resolved. (Although the Social Media Team gave a ref number A ********** 7), I am still being billed for a sale that was made to me by a third party supplier to Telkom. The person making the sale **** to me and even though I have the date of the call and reference number (because calls are recorded), Telkom refuse to listen to my side of the story. If they listen to the recording of the sales call they will hear how someone from T-Connect blatantly lie to me about a product. And now I am being held to a 24 month contract. I am not using the data that I am being billed for as I already have data from a supplier that I have been using for 14 years. Telkom can see on their side that I am not using their data. They refuse to act on my queries. Typical Telkom sends their clients from one department to the other. I have completed the Service Cancellation forms twice, what to do next? I have been billed for months and Telkom now ows me a lot of money.
