Telkom lost my cellphone and been fighting for a year now.

<p>My cellphone (Sony Xperia Z3) was sent in for repairs in october 2015. I was not given any reference numbers at the time and was not advised of any fees involved if i were to reject the quote. After fighting to get the reference number to find out the status, I was told i had to pay in R2000+ for a repair when i was getting it done under warranty. I rejected the quote and was told the phone would be sent back to me. 2 weeks after, i was sms'd and told if i do not pay in the quoted figure or the rejected amount, my phone would be sold off to cover costs. I paid it and waited for my phone. since then, I have been calling, etc trying to get my phone back, but no one has been able to locate my phone. I then sent out a breach of contract notice which was acknowleged but it did not go further and my phone was still lost. I then contacted telkom to cancel the contract under breach of contract. Since sending through the cancellation, the query has remained open and not gotten further. i have escalated to managers multiple times who have promised to call and resolve the issue, but i never got calls and it never went further. Will keep trying to get this resolved but i'm not getting anywhere. Would not recommend buying a phone from telkom and would not recommend using them as their service is terrible.</p>
