Telkom lost me R2000

After signing up for a new cell phone contract with Telkom mid June, I woke up 2 days ago (10 July) to a message from Telkom to say my line had been suspended. When I signed up for the contract, the consultant told me that I would be billed pro-rata for June and that it would only be payable on 1 August with the July bill. I agreed to that and took the contract. I called Telkom on the morning that my line was suspended and spoke to two consultants who told me that my "credit limit" was exceeded and that I needed to pay R500 in order to have my line reactivated. Even though the error had nothing to do with my lack of payment, it was a billing error on Telkom's side, in desperation I paid the R500. Nothing happened after I sent proof of payment and my line remained deactivated the following day. I immediately followed up on email with the consultant who "helped" me the day before and still to this moment have not had a reply. I called the call centre again and was told that my line would not be reactivated until the money reflected in Telkom's account, which could take 24-48 hours. I asked her to escalate the issue because it was causing major concerns for my business, she came back to say she had escalated it and I could expect a call within 5-24 working hours.... STILL no response received. I emailed Telkom customer care and received notification that I could expect a response in 24-48 working hours. I then turned to lay a complaint on their Facebook page, hoping to get some kind of response. A few minutes later "Mitchell Telkomsa" contacted me via messenger and said he had picked up my query and would like to assist. He sent me my residential address and asked me to confirm, I did. He then told me that the account I had paid into was the incorrect account and that I should pay R799 to their "billing department" which was an FNB account and he would make sure the account would be reactivated immediately and my R500 would be refunded as soon as it reflects. I was then asked to pay another R1200, because that is the billed amount due and the R799 was an activation fee which the store failed to inform me about, As compensation for the inconvenience, he said Telkom were prepared to offer me 3 months free subscription. In order to verify my account, he said, he needed 3 months banks statements, which I sent him. After paying R2500 to get my line reactivated, R2000 is lost to a *********, my line is STILL not working (56 hours later) and Telkom couldn't care less. The lack of assistance, urgency and service is BEYOND DISGUSTING!!!!!
