TERMINATION OF PREPAID SERVICE: LANDLINE PHONE NUMBER *** 1. I am a client of Telkom since 2004. My service is the prepaid” Waya Waya” servive, paying R140.00 every November month.2. In February 2018, my service was out of order. I reported this to the Telkom Polokwane office and was given the Reference number: ***3. I was informed that I stay in an area where cable theft is rife.4. In December 2018, I was given a wireless set to replace my household landline phone. There was no further explanation given to me. THE PROBLEM: 1. In February my new wireless system stopped working. Twice I visited the regional offices of Telkom in Polokwane ; first having sent my son who is stationed there and later personally on 2nd April 2019.2. I was told that my prepaid service has been terminated permanently because I failed to pay the rental fee due in NOVEMBER 2018.3. In November 2018 ,my service was still out of order and in order to pay, I am supposed to buy air time equivalent to the rental fee and recharge the phone. In addition the landline home phone set which was out of order would upon picking up the hand set instruct me to recharge the phone.4. When I was given the wireless set, I was told nothing. The new wireless set DID not upon picking the hand set, unlike its predecessor tell me to recharge.5. Furthermore I received the wireless set in December, a date after the November due date of paying the annual rental fee which used to be R140.00. MY CONCERNS:

1. In November 2017 I paid prepaid rental fee of R140.00 to last until November 2018.2. In February 2018, after ONLY 3 months, my phone was out of order. I therefore DID not enjoy the use of my rental fee because THERE WAS NO SERVICE FROM FEBRUARY TO DECEMBER 2018.3. It therefore means that I paid for a service which was not rendered.4. I therefore cannot be punished for failure to recharge my new set while I certainly qualify for outstanding fee due to me as a result of the service paid for and not given.5. In addition the wireless set I now possess unlike its predecessor DOES NOT tell me to recharge. I could have done so.6. In the new set there is an unused R32.00. Why terminate my service instead of informing me that there is an outstanding balance on my account? REQUEST FOR A SOLUTION. 1. As a loyal customer of more than 2 decades, please reinstate my number and prepaid service because circumstances unknown to me led to the prevailing situation.
