Telkom Landline Cannot Be Cancelled

I had a Telkom landline with ADSL connection, with which I was very happy. No problems whatsoever...until I tried to cancel it.

I have since moved to an area with no Telkom coverage in March 2015. I'd been struggling to cancel since March 2015 and finally (thought I) got it right in July 2015 (got a cancellation code). I had to pay an outstanding fee of about R700 for service I didn't use. I was relieved to pay it though, so this ordeal could finally be over. Telkom staff confirmed that this would be the last.

Now two months later, I receive a email bill for R356.

How can I still be charged for a cancelled line that I haven't used in 6 months?!?

I've tried to handle this by phone, over email, and in person at a branch. Red tape everywhere. Hoops to jump through. Queues and queues and cellphone charges. The system does not appear to be working at all. There doesn't seem to be any way of escalating this.

Please Telkom. Please cancel my line. I will gladly pay this R356 (or even double) if Telkom will please just get out of my life.
