Telkom keep on deducting debit order for landline 6 month after line was cancelled
Telkom has kept on deducting R219 per month of my bank account via Debit order since June 2018, even though I’ve cancelled my landline ( ********** 462) with them in the beginning of May 2018 (After I’ve changed residential address’ end of April and had to wait for my ISP to release my ADSL line). I’ve send numerous requests for cancellation, spend hours on hold on the telephone, been in contact via e-mail with Unathi Ntamo, Zoliswa Bosman, Cebokazi Mvinjelwa, Lady named Sisanda, have at least four Reference numbers ( ********** 00, ********** 81, ********** 13, ********** 36) and have been told that the cancellation has been escalated and that wrongful debit orders will be paid back. Telkom can clearly see there are no activity on the line and hasn’t been since 27 April 2018 (since the new owners of the property did not want to take over the Telkom line). Yet, up to date I’ve been ****** (yes it is theft if you take something that is not yours!) of R1 089.45 (excluding interest) and I’ll most probably get another invoice within the next week or so and the next R217.89 will be deducted of my bank account on roughly the 5th of November. This utterly unacceptable! How can a company just do what they want and expect their public image to shine?
If the above matter has not been solved and the wrongful deducted amount of R1 089.45 been repaid into my bank account by 12:00 on Wednesday 17 October 2018, I will get legal aid. The disrespect from Telkom towards their customers are absolutely disgusting!!! @TelkomZA
